I need some ideas...

On how to keep a baby from rolling over in his sleep, and waking himself up (3-4 times a night)? He rolls over from back to tummy all of the time, but doesn't roll over from tummy to back a whole lot. And every time he rolls over his arm gets stuck and he wakes himself up crying. I have tried rolling up blankets (and rubberbanding them so they won't come undone) and putting those next to him, but he kicks and moves about until they are out of his way enough to roll over. What have you guys done to help solve this problem? I'll take whatever suggestions anyone has. THANKS!!

Oh, and new pictures are on their way soon :)

We double swaddled our babies until they were six months old. Works like a charm. You need two blankets, a normal one, and then a really stretchy one to wrap very tightly around the first blanket.

Another idea is there are things at babies r us that the babies can sleep in that are pads with have two padded pillows on either side of the baby. Ainsley's detach with velcro so I can move them bigger if needed. This has helped her from rolling over. I also swaddle Ainsley, still at 8 months though she is big enough to pull out of it. I use a Swaddle Me, again from Babies r Us, I love it because it is like a little cocoon and uses velcro to stay tighter than a blanket. These have helped for her, hope they work.

I second the double swaddle. If you have the one blanket just in half, making a long rectangle and then just basically wrap him up really tucking him in good, and then use the other one to swaddle him normally. If you really tuck in in snug not even Houdini can get out. :)

I have heard the wedge works great. It is a pad with cushions on both sides.

Good luck. Isaac always rolled until he was laying on his back. I tried everything. Hopefully he will outgrow it soon.

We used the pad that has the triangle pads on both sides. I think you can really get them anywhere, search online at the different stores. We only used the blankets rolled up with AJ but they would always get smashed down. We rolled them up but then put them under the blanket he slept on.

ha ha - I must be old - we just waited for our kids to out grow it and get better at rolling back to the other side ;) Look at all these new contraptions they have for parents to get a better night sleep these days ;)

Hope something works for you. My babies all HATED to be swaddled :)
